This session is applicable to ISDs and Open-Enrollment Charter Schools.
All LEAs (local educational agencies, which includes ISDs and Open-Enrollment Charter Schools) must comply with EDGAR (Education Department General Administrative Regulations), which are cross-cutting regulations applicable to the administration of federal education awards.
This session will address the topic of Time and Effort Part 2 (Additional Pay with Federal Funds).
There are no prerequisites for attending this specific session.
However, it would be beneficial to attend all the sessions in the EDGAR mini-series to gain a broad understanding of EDGAR.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will gain an understanding of the federal requirements applicable to this specific topic.
Time and Effort Part 1 (7/13/22) will cover federal requirements for documentation standards for payroll charges to federal awards, cost objectives, and recommended documentation records for employees working on Single and Multiple Cost Objectives, applicable to their regular pay from federal awards.
Time and Effort Part 2 (7/20/22) will cover recommended documentation records for additional pay from federal awards, requirements for policies and procedures, and common audit findings.

However, the Connect20 certificate must not be used by CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) or TASBO-certified participants to self-report credit hours to TSBPA (Texas State Board of Public Accountancy) or TASBO (Texas Association of School Business Officials) since the hours on the Connect20 certificate do not align with the requirements of TSBPA or TASBO.
