Part of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) leadership team series developed by the TIER Statewide Initiative in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency, this session provides guidelines for campuses and districts on providing professional development to staff to support implementation of MTSS: conducting observations, coaching, ongoing training and support. You may find it helpful during the training to have access to your current campus/district documents for reference such as schedules, assessment calendar, data sources utilized, and current observation forms.
It is not necessary to attend other trainings as a prerequisite, however, if you have attended previous trainings within the leadership team series, in particular "Creating an Assessment Plan and/or Creating an Instructional Plan," please have those handouts accessible also.
This session 2-hour virtual session is appropriate for administrators, specialists, coordinators, counselors and anyone else who may find themselves supporting the implementation of MTSS at the campus or district level.
