Evidence-Based Prevention of Writing, Reading, and Arithmetic Problems through Screen-Intervene, Problem-Solving Consultation, and Differential Diagnosis-Differentiated Instruction
Although reading, writing, and math will be covered, the focus will be on writing (e.g., handwriting—letters and numerals, spelling, sentence/text composing, reading-writing relationships, listening-writing relationships, writing-speaking relationships, diagnosis and differentiated instruction for Dysgraphia, diagnosis and differentiated instruction for Dyslexia (not only a reading disability but also a spelling disability), diagnosis and differentiated instruction for Oral and Written Language Learning Disability (OWL LD) also referred to as specific language impairment (SLI) which makes it difficulty to compose sentences and text, and diagnosis and differentiated instruction for Dyscalculia (which may involve problems in numeral writing and written calculations).
Important Session Information: Both sessions will be conducted virtually through Zoom.
Session 1: Saturday, November 6th; 8:30-11:30 AM: Evidence-based prevention of writing, reading, and arithmetic problems through Tier 1 screen-intervene and Tier 2 problem-solving consultation.
Session 2: Saturday, November 13th; 8:30-11:30 AM: Evidence-based Tier 3 differential diagnosis-differentiated instruction for dysgraphia alone or co-occurring with dyslexia, OWL LD, or dyscalculia.
