ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to district transition contacts and vocational adjustment coordinators in the development and implementation of effective transition services and inter-agency collaboration.

Important Session Information:


When should students know they have a disability and the impact the disability may have on their classwork, decision making skills,  and post-secondary success. In 2018-2019 Self determination was added to TAC 89.1055. 

Self determination is believing you can control your own destiny. Self-determination is a combination of attitudes and abilities that lead people to set goals for themselves, and to take the initiative to reach these goals. This session  discusses the importance of teaching decision-making, goal-setting, and self-evaluation skills to help students understand how important decision-making is.
