Evidence-based practices have been scientifically proven to increase student outcomes. However, there can be hurdles to including these practices into instruction. In this 1 hour session we will discuss the different criteria required for identifying the level of effectiveness of math practices and programs, share online resources where one can find research-based and evidence-based practices for math in both elementary and secondary, and review recommended strategies.
This session is appropriate for both elementary and secondary general education and special education teachers, content specialists, academic deans, and certified staff whose role is related to improving student academic performance in math.
