In this session, we will explore the following crucial elements of meeting our student needs and addressing behavior concerns amplified by the COVID-19 Pandemic:
1) Understand the impact of ACES, Individual, Secondary, and Collective Trauma connected to current pandemic experiences.
2) Evaluate our current best practices and align them with Trauma Informed Care approaches to help all students thrive.
3) Create a plan to implement Trauma Informed Care interventions and strategies with the student populations we serve.
This training is in alignment with the following 2022 Special Education Self-Assessment Domains to support your Local Education Agency's (LEA) efforts to evaluate and improve your educational program serving students with disabilities receiving special education services: Domains 2-Intervention, 16 &17- Disproportionality, 19-Behavior, 20-Behavior Intervention Plans.
