Parents will gain knowledge of the accommodations that are offered by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The session will provide further insight into the different types of accommodations that are available and the possible impact they have on student learning. Accommodations are individualized and specific to the needs of the student with the disability. This training will show how an accommodation allows a student to complete the same assignment or assessment as the other students with a few changes in the response, and presentation of the work.
