I CAN...Engage Children in Constructing Information about Reading and Writing through Interactive Charts



Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) provides assistance to districts in the successful development and implementation of a school readiness integration model of coordinated funding that brings school districts, Head Start programs and child care providers together in a mixed delivery model.  ESC-20 also provides leadership to ensure the effective regional implementation of appropriate instructional strategies in early childhood settings through technical assistance and professional development in the areas of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum and supports parents with Pre-Kindergarten information and eligibility criteria.

I CAN...Engage Children in Constructing Information about Reading and Print Concepts through Interactive Pocket Chart Activities

Pocket charts are great hands-on ways to incorporate reading and concepts of print in the preschool classroom. They offer children additional time and space to practice engaging with print in meaningful ways.
