The 18+ services are specially designed for adult students aged 18 to 21 who receive special education. These services are tailored to be age-appropriate, from the transition assessments to the instructional strategies, accommodations, and learning environments.
During this session, we will provide information about the transition program for students who require a fifth or sixth year of schooling beyond graduation or continuation. The 18+ programs are available in three tiers: campus-based, district-based, or community-based. We will discuss the various programs and assist in determining if they meet the needs of the students being served.
