This dynamic 4 part series takes Power Hour to a new level! Each one-hour session will focus on an element of specially designed instruction, taking a deep dive into what makes specially designed instruction so "special". Sessions will cover key terminology, essential components, and resources for determining supports and planning instruction. Participants can expect real-world examples including a focus on accommodations, modifications, and collaborative lesson planning. This series will provide educators with the knowledge to provide effective and intentional supports for students with disabilities as they design and deliver Individual Education Programs (IEPs) that target students' unique needs. Attendance is appropriate for general education teachers who desire to increase foundational special education program knowledge and special educators tasked with IEP development and implementation especially those new to the field, administrators, specialists, related service providers, evaluators and special education paraprofessionals. It is highly recommended that participants attend each session as the content build to create a deeper understanding of specially designed instruction
