Important Session Information:
Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders have challenges
associated with emotion regulation, such as executive functioning and joint engagement.
Social and emotional skills teaching works better if lessons are clear, engaging, and visual. This workshop provides clear instruction with free downloads on social skills topics such as decreasing isolation, knowing when to be “silly” vs. “serious,” increasing awareness of how words and actions affect other people, and managing emotions like anxiety, anger, and sadness.
