Psychological First Aid for Schools



Professional development for school counselors is aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and supports work in the four service delivery components: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.

Target Audience: Educators who are a part of their campus or district Safety and Security Committee.

This training provides guidance for responding to disaster, violence, or terrorism events in school settings, giving educators practical assistance to meet immediate needs and concerns, reduce distress, and foster adaptive coping in the wake of a crisis. You will receive an email from Connect20 confirming your registration; please be sure to check your spam/junk email. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please call Central Registration at 210-370-5671 for assistance Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. If you find you are unable to attend, please unenroll yourself in Connect20 so those on the waiting list may have an opportunity to attend.
