G/T 6 hour update - Designing Learning Experiences to better identify G/T students in Kindergarten - Medina Valley ISD

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

The Texas G/T State Plan advocates for equitable identification of G/T students for grades K-12, but notates a special focus on Kindergarten students. This is imperative as many Kindergarten students come to us with different levels of experiences when they enter school. In this session, you will work with other Kindergarten educators to develop a planned learning experience based on the Texas Performance Standards Project that could be used to better identify your Kinder G/T students and make access to services more equitable for this age group.

This session is only for Kindergarten teachers from Medina Valley ISD.

The session is a face to face session and will take place at
