Important Session Information:

Understanding the theory and best practice in family engagement is essential to move organizations toward more authentic family engagement in a post-Covid world. Knowing this information, though, is not enough if schools and districts wish to create a permanent culture of engagement for every family. Applying theory and best practice is the best way to garner success.

Using his new book “Case Studies to Engage Every Family,” Dr. Steve Constantino will lead participants through several case studies, drawn from everyday challenges in family engagement, to allow participants to not only review theory and best practice, but to apply that practice to common situations. Participants will also have the opportunity then, to take the knowledge gained from the case study analysis and apply it to situations or challenges which may be present in their school or district. Lastly, Dr. Constantino will introduce a comprehensive rubric, based on the Five Simple Principles, which further allows participants to effectively implement ideas and strategies that improve relationships and engagement between home and school.
