The Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines have been developed to provide guidance for planning quality
learning experiences for all children three to five years of age. They are based on current knowledge of
theory and scientific research about how children develop and learn. The guidelines reflect the growing
consensus among early childhood professional organizations that a greater emphasis should be placed
on young children’s conceptual learning, acquisition of basic skills, and participation in meaningful,
relationship-based learning experiences.
This session will provide district and curriculum leaders with the presentation tools needed to help districts build a pool of instructors who can then provide the training to PreK teachers in their ISD thus creating a broader reach; sustainability; and is much more cost and time efficient.
**Attendees should be highly experienced Early Childhood teachers or an instructional leaders/coaches or trainers. Participants will get to see the training session and then complete activities and practice teaching segments to other participants.
