CHCS Presentation Description:
Anger is a basic human emotion that we all experience. Did you know that anger has some valuable qualities and can actually be beneficial to us? On the other hand, anger can also become problematic when it is excessive or uncontrolled. In this session we will look at the complex layers of anger and the importance of children’s emotional development and self-regulation. We will review healthy ways to respond to anger as an adult, but also learn ways that we can assist youth in expressing their anger more effectively.
The guest community partners and topics will be:
Crime Stoppers of Houston - Teen Dating Safety/Violence and Sexual Misconduct
Family Services - Trauma Informed Behavior Management
