This training is an introductory session in Assistive Technology. The session will focus on assessment and data collection necessary in making decisions to address needs for students who would benefit from the use of assistive technology. The training will focus on what the next steps are in the process for making decisions for assistive technology recommendations. Participants will have the ability to identify resources and tools that assist in the gathering of data, determine the appropriate tool to use based on the need of the student, work cooperatively with different disciplines to make decisions, and determine which devices to use for trials for deciding the most appropriate device to be recommended to the IEP/ARD committee.
ACVREP Credit will be offered by TSBVI
