In this virtual session, we will discuss teaching strategies including collaboration, natural supports and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the development of a coordinated program for students with disabilities in either an adapted or general physical education class. We will review IEP learning goals that can align with the general education curriculum and support students with disabilities in meeting their adapted physical education goals. The Lieberman-Brian Inclusion Rating Scale (LIRSPE) will be introduced as a tool that can identify key areas that can assist teachers in advocating for their students.
