Important Session Information:

Participants must be registered by midnight on 11/26/2023 to receive the registration link.

In this virtual session, we will discuss teaching strategies including collaboration, natural supports and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the development of a coordinated program for students with disabilities in either an adapted or general physical education class. We will review IEP learning goals that can align with the general education curriculum and support students with disabilities in meeting their adapted physical education goals. The Lieberman-Brian Inclusion Rating Scale (LIRSPE) will be introduced as a tool that can identify key areas that can assist teachers in advocating for their students.

This program has been submitted for approval of 1.5 clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA). TPTA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
