Important Session Information:

This session will blend the principles of the Claim-Evidence-Reasoning model in science with inferencing, drawing conclusions, and making connections within ELAR TEKS in order to bring a common language to both content areas.  Participants will engage in a lab experience combined with authentic texts. Strategies will help students read, write, and immerse themselves in both contents.  Participants should bring technology in order to plan for cross curricular instruction.  Campuses are encouraged to send teams of ELAR and Science teachers to experience the session together. Session is appropriate for English & Science teacher pairs, grades 6-12
