Important Session Information:

Asynchronous Course: Informational text and data analysis is the backbone for Science instruction and is addressed year-round but for many students writing valid conclusions which connects the data to science principles is a difficult task. Explaining one's thinking is considered one of the most difficult cognitive task for a student.  Let's turn the conversation around and begin aggressively addressing the Process Standards using the Claims, Evidence & Reasoning framework to assist our students and allow them to truly show what they know.

This course is an introduction to the CER framework and appropriate for beginning and novice science teachers who are unfamiliar with the CER process and/or how to utilize it within science instruction.
